Science 2016-2017

Erin Cornell Lab 2Welcome! Here you will find links to subjects that I am teaching this year at Chrysalis High School. Since most of my classes are individualized for specific students, I am mostly posting general information, useful links, and photos. Students keep track of their own homework on assignment sheets, agendas, or their own electronic devices.

Citizen Science and Snow

Just resting!

By now you have heard that all of my students will be involved in at least two citizen science projects this year. “Snowflake” Bentley was a well known character from Vermont and one of the best citizen scientists ever. Even though he was not a formally trained scientist, he proved that perseverance,  excellent data recording, and the ability to notice patterns could lead to important discoveries. Have you noticed the snowflake poster outside my office? What is the coldest temperature it can snow?
